Combined Federal Campaign
Best in America
The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) promotes and supports philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
The CFC today is known to be the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world with the number of participating charities estimated at over 20,000 nonprofit charitable organizations worldwide. Romania Animal Rescue, Inc. DBA Animal Spay/Neuter International is proud to be one of those charities that the CFC sponsors.
The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, and program and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5%, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal.
Dear Romania Animal Supporters »
Dear Romania Animal Rescue and Animal Spay Neuter Intl. Supporters and Friends,
Well another year begins and more work is in store for the RAR/ASNI team! Last year we reached an all-time record of over 9000 spays/neuters! 2014 also introduced us to many new wonderful people for which we are eternally grateful! ASNI became a registered charity in the UK thanks to the amazing efforts of Mandy Easter, Chrissy Phillips, Sue Roberts, and Maz Foulger.
Animal Spay Neuter International Dream Team headed out to the Dominican Republic in early 2014, as well as to Portugal to provide spays/neuters.
Homeless Animals Hospital was given its official name (although we already had been treated animals for years with this program). Our October Spayathon introduced us to many new people, and re-united old friends who have helped RAR for years. Romania elected a new President who calls the mass murder of the dogs "barbaric", and we all hope and pray this new President will prove to be a wonderful leader.
I want to wish everyone a wonderful New Year with all the best! Thanks for your support and for your care for the programs of spay/neuter, Homeless Animals Hospital treatments, vet training, and education. We will keep up the great work in Romania, and this month our Dream Team is off to the Dominican Republic once again to provide up to 500 spays/neuters with our friends Amigos de Lucky there. Thank you to our donors for your support. Your support is the only way we can do so much.
Bless each and every one of you,
It is a heavy winter in Romania and the RAR team gears up for the Dominican Republic spay and neuter project. We are looking forward to bring hope and peace for so many animals that will not give birth to offsprings, saving them from an unhappy and dangerous life on the hot, humid streets. Back in Romania our Homeless Animal Hospital can plan its activity for 2015 and we are aiming to provide free vet care for at least 1000 animals in need of treatments, spay and neuter or major surgeries. We are greatful for your continous help, which enables us to be a peaceful shore in the storm for so many animals in need. This year we aim to change as many people's minds as possible in order to minimise the number of unwanted births or dumped animals. We would like to involve more kids in our projects because they are the future and our hope for long-lasting quality animal welfare throughout the world. Looking back on our achievements in towns where we performed constant spay and neuter such as Moreni and Craiova, we can only work hard for more care-free animals in Romania and abroad. Thank you again for your help and for generating such a powerful ray of hope for the animals! I wish you a wonderful peaceful 2015 for you and your family!

Last February, Sue Roberts and Maz Foulger Horace started a Facebook fundraising page. In less than a year, these two remarkable women have fundraised for 2540 spays/neuters! Thank you to all who have donated. Thank you, Steph Blythe, Sue Blythe, Mishy Dunn and Diane White. Thank you to everyone who cares for the animals. Love you very very much!
Animal Spay/Neuter International is returning to the Dominican Republic to help the local charity, Amigos de Lucky, spay/neuter 500 animals. As with Romania, there is an overpopulation of homeless dogs. Our spayathon will limit the proliferation of litters to the streets of DR.
Our mission: Homeless animals to receive high tech care at HAH just the same as any pet. Here our vet team working late hours to save a dog's eyesight.
Homeless Animal Hospital's first case in 2015: This cat was brought to us with an open fracture that was terribly infected. We operated on the cat's leg and now adopted it out to the person who brought it to us.
Puppies brought in for care as they were suffering from "failure to thrive" were treated by Homeless Animal Hospital.
This black dog was hit by a car. The person who hit him had the compassion to bring this dog in for care to our free service, which he otherwise would have not been able to afford.
Muffy weighs 6.5 pounds (3 kg). We operated her old fracture and expect she will make a full recovery.
Warm your hearts: This homeless dog was taken from the ski slopes of the Carpathian Mountains, near Bucharest. It was adopted by the HAH founder, Dr. Aurelian Stefan! We vaccinated him and treated him against lice, and he is now playing worryless.
Donor dogs help others when blood is needed. Transfusions are often necessary at Homeless Animal Hospital.
Ursu was brought in a terrible state to Homeless Animal Hospital. He was emaciated, dehydrated and ill. But look at him now!
Former homeless dogs receive help with registration and rabies vaccine.
Thanks to our friends from Besitzerhunde, Ilona's dogs are now officially registered.
Hundreds more animals are helped and vaccinated with Homeless Animals Hospital, every day we treat animals that are in need of care. We can only do this with your donations.
Thank YOU, outstanding donors, who make all these amazing miracles happen. Without your support, we could do nothing for animals that have no help. We wish you the most fabulous and Happy New Year ever. More help for the animals means less suffering, and we will achieve this as a Team. The Dream Team includes us all, united in the goal of no more suffering. Thank you to all our vets, techs, program coordinators, and to the charities, groups and individuals who we are able to help thanks to determination and hard work.
A special thank you to May-Britt Seem for the vaccination program.
