A kind pedestrian found Pistachio, with both front legs broken, and delivered him to the Center of Hope. The X-rays confirmed that he was suffering from two full breaks in each leg. Romania Animal Rescue asked for your support to pay for the surgery to repin his legs. Your overwhelming support covered the cost of the surgery. We want to thank everyone who contributed so that Pistachio can walk again.
Scarface (aka Billy) was found abandoned a few months ago as a very young puppy. He was brought to the Center of Hope for treatment and was diagnosed with a benign cutaneous mass. Scarface had surgery and the team managed to save his eye. Scarface, now known as Billy, was fostered for a number of months in Romania and was then offered a foster place at Barney's Animal Rescue in the UK and just this week his adoption was finalized and he went to his new family. Happy new life Billy! Look at him now:
Molly and Cleo were found dumped as two tiny kittens and rescued by vet tech Anda Popescu. They were far too young to be away from their mom and were very sick when found. These two girls have had lots of TLC at the Center of Hope and are getting stronger and bigger every day! We hope that they will find a loving home soon.
Poor Kari was rescued from the streets a few months ago with a very serious break to his back leg. Dr. Pepe Stefan operated on him and saved Kari's leg and his life. Kari has been happily recovering from this injury and enjoying a happy new life with his fosterer Doina Vella.
To our horror, Kari was rushed to Romania Animal Rescue yesterday because his fosterer suspected he had eaten sausages spike with nails when they were coming home from a walk. Dr. Aurelian Stefan and the team acted immediately and X-rays confirmed the worst. Kari was rushed into surgery and NINE nails were removed from Kari's stomach. Thanks to your kind donations Kari's life has been saved twice! He is on the road to recovery and will be looking for a forever home soon.
See our short video that tell's Kari's story since he was saved from the streets:
Diane was attacked by a very big dog and had 1/3 of her skin torn from her body. Her family brought her to Romania Animal Rescue for help in July as they couldn't afford to pay the quotes for treatment they were given by a private clinic.
The expense of treatment is a major hurdle for caring families who just don't have the money to pay for treatment. It can lead to animals being abandoned.
Thanks to ours supporters we can give urgently needed vet care to stray dogs and cats and pets of low income families. Diane has had several visits to us and her wounds have healed remarkably well.
As the saying goes, "saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever."
Bilbo and Rantin were two tiny puppies when they were found at the side of a busy national road with their brave mum Ranna. Ranna had a rope and chain wrapped tightly around her stomach. She had obviously been tied up somewhere but had managed to escape with her two babies.
Ranna was very skinny and starving when she was found. Ranna and her little family were in serious danger of being killed by speeding traffic. Luckily for Ranna, Bilbo and Rantin, the Romania Animal Rescue team spotted them as they drove back from a spayathon and they immediately pulled over to help.
Ranna, Bilbo and Rantin were brought to safety, given food and veterinary care. When they were fit and well they were all found loving homes by our amazing veterinary technician, Anda, who does so much to help the stray dogs and cats in Romania.
The veterinary care for these dogs was made possible because of kind Romania Animal Rescue supporters like you. We are so grateful for your support. Watch the video and see the latest video of Bilbo in action. We are soooo proud and happy to see Bilbo enjoying life to the MAX!
