About Us & the People Behind RAR/ASNI
RAR/ASNI were set up in 2003, following a hiking trip that founder Nancy Janes took to Romania. Having witnessed the problem of homeless dogs first hand, Nancy decided to set up a charity to help find a solution. Since then, many more vets and volunteers joined Nancy to make up RAR as we know it today: a dedicated bunch of animal lovers, passionate about improving animal welfare and ending animal suffering.
